 The American Red Cross is proud to offer our Nurse Assistant Competency Evaluation Program (CEP) to test nurse assistant candidates for statewide certification. We have been designated as a testing agent by the California Department of Public Health through the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross
In the past thirteen years, over 170,000 nurse assistant candidates have tested with the American Red Cross and received their state certification to practice as Certified Nurse Assistants.

Red Cross CEP testing provides:

- Mobile testing available at your facility or school.

Information on Test Types:
- Skills Testing ($55)-
You will be asked to perform four (4) skills that are covered in your training program. You will be evaluated on how well you perform each skill and also on how well you follow the six (6) principles of care.
- Written Test ($35)-
The written test consists of 60 multiple choice questions. You are given two hours in which to complete the written
test.
- Oral Testing ($50)-
A great alternative of the written test for those whom English is not their primary language. For more information contact Audrey at (909) 888-1481 extension 251.

What to bring on your testing date:
- Approved/original HS 283-B form (State initial application, must be signed by RN)
- Two legal identification cards:
- One ID must be a photo ID (For example: State Driver’s license, State ID, Military ID or passport).
- The other ID must be your Social Security Card or a social Security printout initialed and stamped.
Note:
All IDs must be current.
All IDs must be originals (no copies are accepted).
All IDs must have your signature on them.
All IDs and HS 283-B form (State Initial Application) must have matching names.

| The American Red Cross will coordinate and schedule individual Nurse Assistant Candidate testing as well as enter into agreements with facilities, ROP'S, and other training programs to provide group testing.
